Brisbane Hot Spot's : Ribbetts
How does all you can eat Ribs, Pizza and Pasta for $27 dollars sound?
What about having your Ribs, Pizza and Pasta freshly cooked upon ordering?
Ribbetts is unlike most 'All you can eat' restaurants where you serve yourself from a buffet bar not knowing how long the food has been sitting there. You can order as much freshly cooked food as you want during your 90 minute seating, so long as the food does not go to waste - You can even place your orders via text so you don't have to wait for the waitress to come around each time you run out of Ribs.
The Ribs (both Pork and Lamb) were so delectable that our group order four LARGE plates! My favourite Pizza was the 'Cajun Chicken' but you just can't go past trying the unusual 'Chicken, Bacon and BANANA' Pizza. And my favourite Pasta, I cannot say, because we were so full that we just couldn't order pasta aswell - but next time I think I might just have to try the 'Chicken and Mushroom' pasta.
So go along, either with a group of friends or with family... But make sure you choose company with whom you won't be embarrassed to be around when gorging into a meal with your hands - so probably not a good first date idea.

Comfortable Bus Stops... What a great idea!!
Clever advertising for IKEA...BUT what a great idea! Why shouldn't we be more comfortable when waiting for the notoriously late City Council Buses! Something to consider?

First Bag Sale! YAY
I made my first bag sale on Friday - and I hadn't even planned on staring to sell them yet! But a lady at work saw my bag, asked where I got it from and when I told her that I made it she asked for two! And to top it off, when I got home I had Thai food, wine and flowers waiting for me...for no reason :)
What a wonderful day it was.
Happy Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day to everyone in the world.
Everyone deserves to be loved.
I send my love to you all, if anyone out there is reading this :)
A little trivia :
Saint Valentine's Day was named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496. It was traditionally a day for lovers to express their undying love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have largely given way to mass-produced greeting cards.
Love is Beautiful.

Creative Post : Featuring 'Stamping with Danielle'
So this is the first creative post which features another persons amazing creations.
Todays creative post features Danielle, a "mad, keen scrapbooker and stamper", who creates the most scrumptious cards with gorgeous 'Stampin' Up' products then uploads them to her blog http://stampingwithdanielle.blogspot.com/.
Below I have posted just a few of her delightful creations (you can see many more on her blog). I have bought over 20 of her cards from her eBay shop - http://myworld.ebay.com.au/ehrb20det/ selling from just 5.95 for a pack of three cards!! That's the price of one commercial 'Hallmark' card from the supermarket!

Brisbane Hot Spots : The Three Monkeys
This 'Coffee and Tea House' has been a longstanding favourite of mine. Situated in West End (fifteen minutes walk from the heart of the city), it offers a unique dining atmosphere inside and out. Inside, the walls are decorated with intricate collectibles; and outside offers tranquil dining in an oriental garden.
What I love most about 'The Three Monkeys', is the diverse range of people who fill the rooms. Some people go there for a more intimate dining experience and choose to sit in the cozy booths, some go for a quick coffee to catch up after work/school, some go as large groups and stay for hours indulging in the fine foods whilst playing a game of cards, some help themselves to the collection of board games and some just go to study over a coffee and cake. Whatever your reason for dining at 'The Three Monkeys', you will be delighted by the menu; on offer is a large selection of cakes, vegetarian delights, gourmet pizzas, fresh or toasted sandwiches, delicious focaccias or platters to share, not to mention the wide selection of teas and coffee. The food is rather cheap, ranging from $6-$12.50, and the restaurant is also B.Y.O.
My partner and I have tried almost everything on the menu, however we always seem to venture back to our favourite order : the 'Haloumi Platter' and the 'Udenese Pizza' along with a pot of tea and a 'Blackforest Cheesecake' or 'Chocolate Rum Kiss'. The food is sensational, but don't take my word for it, take your laptop, your partner or a group of friends and you will be sure to have a pleasant time.

Creative Post : Reversible Blossom Tote
This post features one of my newest designs, a 'Reversible Blossom Tote' with an inside pocket and a tie which can be tightened to ruche the top of the bag (it looks quite cute either way).

Brisbane Hot Spots : Garuva's
As you stroll down Wickham St. [Fortitude Valley], you are likely to pass straight on by and miss the surreptitious secret, disguised by an dark unsigned walkway leading through to a large Gothic style door. However, when you step inside "Garuva Hidden Tranquillity Restaurant & Bar", you will be blissfully amazed by the flowing sheer white curtains, dim lighting and tranquil music. If you don't mind sitting on the ground, and taking your shoes off to relax whilst sipping on scrumptious cocktails and dining on modern Asian cuisines then Garuva's is definitely the place for you. It caters for larger groups and for more private and intimate dining. Even the beautifully designed cocktail bar, hidden at the back of the restaurant, gives you the opportunity to relax on cushions and beanbags whilst you indulge in cocktails such as "Cookies and Cream" or my personal favourite "Toblerone". Garuva's relies simply on 'Word of Mouth' as they choose not to advertise (not even with a sign out the front); which is obviously working splendidly for them, considering their flourishing popularity. So here I am 'Passing it Forward' as they say, so that many more people will be able to delight in the pure pleasures offered at "Garuva Hidden Tranquillity Restaurant & Bar".
